So, this is my first entry in my official Angela Ruggiero blog. I have had some success blogging in the past (specifically the 2006 Olympics) but hoping that this time around we will win the gold. As the longest standing member of the USA Women's Hockey Team, I have been around since 1995 and played in over 200 international games representing our country. Three Olympic medals later, I am still pursuing the elusive gold medal. When I was part of the 1998 gold medal team at just 18 years old, I never thought it would take so long to get back to the top of the podium. Our team is not the #1 team in the world and I would love to have this ranking in February...but not without a ton of work ahead of us.
So, I am going to keep you posted on the adventures of the USA Hockey team and our pursuit to Vancouver. Thanks for reading!
